|Making A Purchase All business accepted by Essex Electrical Wholesalers (Braintree) Ltd (the seller) is subject to the following terms which shall be incorporated in and shall constitute the whole of the agreement between the seller and you (the buyer) as the date of despatch of the contract goods from our premises to the exclusion of all other agreements (whether written or oral) or documents passing between the parties prior to such date.|
We are unable to accept an order until payment is made in full. Prices shown on our web site do not form either in part, or in full, a contractual agreement until delivery (acceptance of) is made. We reserve the right to update our prices without prior notice.
EEW reserve the right to make changes or discontinue any products listed in this publication without notice.
|Shipping And Handling All orders are subject to a small handling charge of £10.00. Fragile and bulky items that require special handling arrangements are subject to a carriage charge at cost. In this event you will be notified of this cost before we process your order. Our aim is to deliver all goods within 3 to 5 working days.|
The buyer is required to inspect goods for shortages and damage at the time of delivery. Claims in respect thereof will not be accepted where the buyer (or anyone apparently having its authority to do so) has signed a delivery note accepting the quality and condition of the goods. Claims for shortages, defects or damage in other respects must be made in writing within three days from receipt of goods.
The seller shall have no liability in respect of any failure or delay in supplying goods and any part thereof to the extent that fulfillment thereof is prevented, frustrated, impeded and/or delayed, or rendered uneconomic as a consequence of any circumstances or event beyond the sellers reasonable control including cancellation or delay of goods from the third party.
|Delivery Schedule Unless specified otherwise, we will deliver goods in accordance with your order. We reserve the right to charge carriage for all orders and those defined by the seller as requiring special packaging requirements. A valid signature will be required on collection or delivery. Title of the goods will pass to the buyer once goods are despatched from our registered address. If you do not receive your goods within 5 working days, the buyer will notify the seller immediately.|
If the buyer refuses deliveries or the buyer has not made suitable provisions to accept goods the seller reserves the right to recover additional charges such as carriage or administration from the buyer.
|Back Orders The seller will notifify the buyer of any back orders prior to taken payment. If the buyer agrees to the anticipated delivery dates given by the seller payment will then be processed. The seller is not responsible for delivery dates not honoured by the manufacturer.|
|Tax Charges & WEEE Disposal Charge All prices are subject to VAT at 20% (subject to changes in taxation) & where applicable, in accordance to the current legislation a Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment charge for disposal, has been included in the stated price.|
|Credit Card Security Many people are concerned about shopping on the internet, and due to media hype have been persuaded not to buy online with a credit card unless the little "padlock" or "key" icon is shown in the bottom corner of the screen. This only appears when the web site uses a system known as "Secure Socket Layer", or "SSL".|
Our system of encryption using Java is even more secure than SSL but does not show the little padlock symbol on your browser frame. Please do not let this put you off!
Our store uses 128-bit encryption to safely encrypt credit card information. This is virtually unbreakable and it means that your credit card information cannot be read by anyone other than yourselves and ourselves. We can then process the credit card numbers in the normal way.
Our 128-bit security encryption is the leading state-of-the-art system to prevent credit card fraud on the internet. We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128-bit encryption, and are only decrypted after they reach our computer which has the necessary unique security codes. They are not held in clear text on any web site, unlike with SSL.

|Returns Policy Goods must not be returned without the sellers written consent. If such consent is given the goods may be returned provided that it is at the buyers expense and risk, and the goods are received back by the seller in original condition. Request for goods to be returned must be made in writing within 14 days of the original delivery.|
Goods returned with the written agreement of the seller must state the original invoice number of the seller. The seller reserves the right to levy a minimum restocking charge of 15% up to a maximum of 100% of the value of the goods depending on their condition. Goods which have been installed and or returned incomplete will not be credited and the buyer is therefore responsible in full to collect the goods at the buyers cost. The seller haven given written notice to the buyer that these goods are awaiting collection, may disposed of the goods if the buyer has not collected the goods within 14 days of the date of notification.
The seller shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, willful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow the seller instructions (written or oral), misuse or alteration or repair of the goods without the sellers permission.
The seller is not a manufacturer. The buyer shall indemnify the seller against all cost incurred by the seller in connection with warranty claims rejected by the manufacturer.
The seller shall not be liable under this agreement or in any other way for any loss of profit, consequential loss or damage whatsoever arising by acts of omission of the seller or defects in goods sold by the seller.
Where, despite the terms of these conditions the seller is liable to the buyer or any third party for damages in excess of the price of the goods or services complained, the buyer shall indemnify the seller against its liability to pay any such excess.
The above terms do not affect your statutory rights.
